A paraphilia characterized by sexual arousal from, or activity with, a corpse.
 
neonate
A newborn.
 
NGU
Abbreviation for nongonococcal urethritis.
 
nipple
The darkened circle at the tip of the breast in both men and women. Although sensitive to sexual stimulation in both genders, in a woman it also serves the function of being the opening through which milk goes when she is breast-feeding.

Ejaculation of semen during sleep.
 
nocturnal orgasm
Orgasm that occurs during sleep.
 
nonfetishistic transvestism
A nonparaphilic behavior by a person who cross-dresses to relieve the tensions associated with having to maintain the sex-role of their gender.
 
nongonococcal urethritis (NGU)
Urethral inflammation caused by something other than gonorrhea.
 
nonoxynol-9
The sperm-killing chemical in many spermicides.
 
nonspecific urethritis (NSU)
Inflammation of the urethra from an unknown or unspecified cause.
 
nonspecific paraphilia
A paraphilia that does not meet the criteria of any of the major paraphilias.
 
normative
The average response of members of a sample.
 
Norplant
The brand-name of a contraceptive implant, inserted into a woman's upper arm, that time-releases progestin to inhibit ovulation.
 
nulliparous
A woman who has never given birth.
 
nymphomania
A pejorative, unscientific term that is used to refer to sexual behavior or desire in women that is considered "excessive" or "abnormal."
