umbilical cord
The tube that connects the fetus to the placenta.
 
undescended testicle
A condition in which a testis has not dropped down through the iniguinal canal from the abdomen into the scrotum.
 
urethra
The tube through which urine passes out of the body; in males, it is also the tube through which semen is discharged.
 
urethral opening
The opening in the urethra through which urine is expelled.
 
urethritis
Inflammation of the urethra.
 
urophilia (or urolagnia)
A sexual variation in which the person derives sexual excitement from urine or urination. Such activities are often referred to as "water sports."
 
uterine cycle
Another term for menstrual cycle.
 
uterus
A hollow, thick-walled, muscular organ in the pelvic cavity of a woman; it is the site at which a fertilized egg implants and the fetus develops during pregnancy.
